Shane and his crew build docks, long walkways over the marsh, floaters and ramps for waterfront homes, and they build and replace decks, stairs, railings and walkways on raised beach houses. The crew also repairs worn decking, fixes tired support framing, and cleans and pressure washes decks and steps. How a dock gets built from the bank to deep water
A dock starts on dry ground and ends where the water is deep enough to use. In between there is a walkway, a head, a ramp and a floater, and each part has to hold up to tides and weather. One customer had Shane's crew take out an aging dock and replace it with a walkway eighty feet out into the marsh and a 10 x 16 foot head.
On the Shallotte River, Shane built a new dock and floater and kept the owner informed from the demo of the old dock to the finish. Another job got a new aluminum ramp down to the dock. Whatever you need, he talks you through it as it goes.

Decks built for raised beach houses
A raised beach house asks a lot of its deck. The stairs are long, the railings catch the wind, and salt air works on every board. Shane's crew has built a beach house deck with stairs, railings and a walkway, replaced decking and corrected problems in the support system so the deck is safer, replaced a worn deck with a new one, and added a handicap ramp to a back deck.

Can you repair an old deck or dock instead of replacing it?
Yes, in many cases. We repair worn decking and fix support framing on decks and docks around Ocean Isle Beach, Shallotte and Supply. One customer's decking was replaced and the support problems found underneath were corrected. If the wood is still sound, our new staining service can protect it and keep it in service longer.
What is the new deck and dock staining service?
It is a coating service that protects the wood on a deck or dock and helps it last longer, so you can keep what you have instead of replacing it. Shane is using a new stain made for beach and coastal conditions in Holden Beach, Oak Island and the rest of Brunswick County. Ask him about the product and color choices.
